Humble Abode

Even though we have lived in St. George for 3 months now, I have been postponing posting pics of our apartment until it is presentable. I like things to be a certain way... its the OCD in me...
I love when I see people's blogs with a lot of pictures and I can see a glimpse into their lives
So I decided that things are ok enough to share... for now at least...

Here is the before pic when we were very first moving in...

This picture is taken from the front doorway...

Here is the living room before... my aunt and uncle provided these couches to us... they are in great condition but a little 80's for my taste... so after A LOT of sewing...

and recovering ALL those pillows...

Here is the living room after! What a difference... it feels so much homier...
and I love the rug that I got at Wal Mart for $60 and the coffee table from Ikea for $20!

Plus, notice the cactus on the coffee table, Richard though I needed a plant that I couldnt kill... good idea!

And then there is the kitchen... its a lot bigger than most apartment kitchens, and that is a giant walk in pantry where the washer and dryer go.

I'm in the process of preparing the bedrooms for pictures... baby steps...

So, what do you think?

  1. It's so cute! My favorite is the print above the couch and the rug from Wal-Mart. $60 is a great deal on something so cute!
